Biography

​

​​John Gray is currently the Bandleader and Manager of the Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra and brings a wealth of insights and knowledge of the professionalism achieved by working with the greatest musicians in the industry. 

​​

Inspired by touring with the late great Ray Charles, has led to the formation of the Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra covering the hits with Calgary's own Grammy Award Winning Vocalist Donald Ray Johnson.

​​

This ensemble has grown over the years to include many local collaborations such as the Amy Winehouse Tribute, featuring Award Winning Vocalist Johanna Sillanpaa and Her Cherry Orchestra.

​

Award Winning Vocalist Thomas "The voice" Alexander leads both The Motown Tribute Orchestra and Thomas Alexanders Soul Revue.

​

Other notable acts include The John Gray Quartet, The Diva Dynamics, The Kate Emerald Band, The Blossom Deary Tribute, and The Frank Sinatra Tribute Orchestra featuring newcomer to the scene, the highly talented vocalist Kelly Hendrickson.​

​

John Gray has over 40 years teaching experience and has taught in Calgary for the Clinic Line, Camp Caroline and numerous high schools, and Mount Royal University.​​​
